Completing a Job in the Tech App

Job Details Start a Job Close a Job

Learn how to start a job and close a job in the Tech App.

 

Job Details


After logging you will see a list of jobs.

You can apply filters or scroll through the list to see your jobs.

Click on one of the jobs to view its details.


A new page with the job details will open. 

Key aspects: 

  1. Job Number 
  2. Job location
  3. Job Type
  4. Assigned to: tech who will perform the job
  5. Status of the job
  6. If the job is under warranty or not
  7. Facilitator: person who coordinates the job
  8. Requestor: person who requested the job
  9. Next Attendance: when the job needs to be completed
  10. Asset Serial Number 
  11. Model of the asset
  12. Problem and description
  13. Notes
  14. Attachments with the asset
  15. Photos can be taken at any time or uploaded from your camera roll.

 

Start a Job


When you are on the way to the job, click on En Route. 

This will let the service team and customer know that you are on your way.

 


A popup will appear for you to confirm or adjust your driving time to reach the job location. 


When you arrive on site, tap the Start button.

This will notify the customer that the job is in progress.

 

Close a Job


When you finish work and leave site, tap the Finish button.


You will be taken to the Attendance Completion Form, where you can fill in what you did on site.

  1. Fault/ Root Cause: Cause of the issue.
     
  2. Actions Taken: actions that you performed on site.
     
  3. Work Breakdown:
    1. Call Out Charge
    2. Labour Time
    3. Travel Time
    4. Travel distance
       
  4. Parts: add a part that you used, or tick the box if you didn't use any.
     
  5. Notes: add any additional information relevant to the job.
     
  6. Asset Condition: choose the condition of the asset repaired and add any notes.
     
  7. Next Steps: 
    1. Success - Job Complete: no further work required.
    2. Futile: Asset not repaired and job closed.
    3. Reattend on: More work is required for a later date and time.
    4. Acme Co to supply part: Parts are required for a later date and time.
    5. Quote Required: the expected cost of the job is above limit and a quote it needed to be able to perform the job for a later date and time.


Enter the name of the customer and capture their signature.

When all details are complete, tap Sign Off.
